Fryday
Friday is so named because it was the day that people used to fry all of their foods for the weekend. Frying is a good way to preserve foods, the oil keeps out bacteria for at least a couple of days. When people began to concern themselves with cholesterol, the Greenwich Calendar Association, or GCA changed the spelling of the day from Fryday to Friday.
