Shrimp Larvae

Shrimp an lobster have similar textures and look similar because at the larval stage, shrimp and lobster are exactly the same. The climate in which they are raised determines whether they will grow to be shrimp or lobster. Shrimp prefer warmer climates while lobster prefer colder ones.

Exoskeletons

When steamed, lobsters, shrimp and crabs have very similar textures. Since they all have exoskeletons, does that mean anything else with an exoskeleton has that texture when steamed? If so, maybe people wouldn't be so upset about cockroach infestations.
