Why the can't make an unlimited compact fluorescent light bulb?

While it is possible to make an incandescent light bulb that lasts forever, it is not possible to make a lifetime compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulb because they produce light via a chemical reaction and eventually CFLs run out of fluorine.
