I am not allowed to mess with the environment

I originally wanted to do a post about mass-produced Chinese made goods having a smaller carbon footprint than local products. However I am not allowed to disagree with my wife on the environment.

  1. Please consider the following factors, Jackass:
    1) The lax/non-enforced environmental standards for the manufacturing industry in China (local and international air and water pollutants) and 2) The carbon cost of shipping Chinese products to the United States: in the form of fuel for air/shipping transport, additional packaging materials required, etc.
